About Company

Sanzyme Biologics is a pioneer in the field of probiotics with over five decades of experience in fermentation technology

Established in 1969 as Uni-Sankyo, we were the first company to manufacture and sell probiotics and enzymes in India. Initially, our focus was on producing these products exclusively for our in-house brands, SPORLAC and Sanzyme. However, in 2005, we embarked on a new journey by shifting our attention to the ingredients market.

Our transition involved extensive development of clinical studies, creation of brand identities, and submission of regulatory documentation to enable the sale of our probiotic strains as ingredients to external partners. Today, Sanzyme Biologics collaborates with renowned companies across 40+ countries, catering to the ingredient needs of pharmaceutical, food, supplement, pet food, and animal health applications.

At Sanzyme Biologics, we operate state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Hyderabad, India, where we produce proprietary probiotic strains, patented probiotic blends, enzymes, and nutritional ingredients for humans, pets, and farm animals. Our specialization lies in manufacturing spore-forming, process-stable probiotic strains and fermentation-derived ingredients.

With a global presence in over 40 countries, including the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, China, and Taiwan, Sanzyme Biologics has emerged as a pioneer. Our commitment to delivering exceptional quality remains unwavering. Manufacturing superior and consistent spore-forming probiotics requires specialized expertise, which we have honed over five decades through scientific research, advancements, and technology transferred from Sankyo, Japan. This expertise, coupled with our state-of-the-art facilities, sets us apart as a trusted name in the field of probiotics.

Today, Sanzyme Biologics is focused on creating science-backed health and nutrition solutions. We strive to enhance the quality of life by offering versatile probiotic strains and nutritional ingredients that add value to formulators through comprehensive scientific studies and support. Additionally, we provide contract manufacturing and research services for metabolites and probiotics, further reinforcing our commitment to innovation and excellence.

Manufacturing good and consistent quality spore forming probiotics is a highly specialized job. Sanzyme Biologics has focussed on continuous improvement of the technology transferred from Sankyo, Japan and honed the same over five decades with scientific research and advancements. With five decades of expertise in fermentation technology and the state of facilities, we stand apart and remain a trusted name in the field of probiotics.
